Spicy Tteokbokki is a very popular Korean dish. The dish is made with rice cakes and a spicy sauce. It is usually served as a street food, but can also be found in restaurants.

This addictive rice cake is extraordinary and really tasty in its course of cookedness. How To Make Easy Tteokbokki Recipe?

First of all take a small sauce pan and place the kombu, dried shiitake mushrooms, and two cups of water into a smal sauce pan. Now, cover with a lid and bring to a boil. Take a paper towel and pat dry the extra firm tofu with paper towel and place the tofu in a bowl, and with the help of fork mashd he tofu until it becomes a crumble, and also Finely chop the broccolini. Take anon stick pan and heat up on a medium flame, and add the avocado oil and tofu crumble, and saute for 3-4 minutes. Now, add the finely chopped broccolini and sauté for another 2 minutes.

After that add dark oy sauce and saute for another minute and set aside for further use. Now, with paper towel wipe out the sauce panand place back onto the stove. Add cane sugar, gochujang, and mushroom/kombu water. Turn the flame to medium high and stir to combine. Then gently place in the rice cakes stir and bring to boil. Now, let it cook for a further 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Again turn the flame to medium and cok for further 5-8 minutes(cook for more or less time depending on how running or thick you’d prefer the sauce). Add the broccolini and tofu, stir and coo for another minutes(If desired add a splash of water to loosen out the sauce). Finally, plate and sprinkle over some freshly chopped onions and white sesame seeds. Enjoy!

You should package your tteokbokki keeping its container in the object in the refrigerator. The tteokbokki will degrade as it cools down, but it will soften up when you reheat it. Store the tteokbokki for 2 to 3 days before starting to taste bad.

  • 1 tsp white sesame seeds
  • 85g broccolini
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 2 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp gochujang
  • 1 tbsp cane sugar
  • 2 cups water

Directions For Making Easy Tteokbokki Recipe
