Kanji/Dahi Vada is a popular Indian dish that is made with a lentil dough and then deep-fried. The vadas are then soaked in a yogurt sauce that is flavored with spices. This dish is popular in North India, and it can be found at street stalls and restaurants.

To celebrate Holi 2022, why not try making kanji/dahi vada? This dish is a popular Indian street food that is sure to please. The recipe is simple: soak vadas (fried lentil dumplings) in dahi (yogurt), then top with chutneys and spices. So why not give it a try? They’re perfect for a festive party snack or appetizer.

How To Make Holi Special Kanji/Dahi Vada Recipe

For Kanji:

Take water and oil it. Take black musted and red musted in the bowl than in other bowl take salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder than grind then all. Put curd in it and red chili powder mash it properly. Put it in the glass bottle now for smokie flavor put the peace of coal on the gas and burned it.

Now put Hing and gee in the bowl with peace of coal and give smoke in the bottle and cover the bottle with lid. Now put water in the bottle and shake it. Keep it for 4 days. Now after that put some cumin powder, black salt, Red chili powder, Crushed Mint leaves in it. Now keep the kanji in Fridge for chilled. 

For Vada:

Take Moong Dal and Udad Dal soak it for 4 hours than wash it put in the mixture jar. Put ginger, Green Chili in it. Put some water and grand it all. Take out in the bowl than whisk it properly. Put cumin seeds and salt in it. Now Put some water in the bowl and put Asafoetida in it. Take Kadhai, Put some oil for Heating now Fry the Vada and then take out and put this Vada in the Asafoetida water. After some time squeeze the Vada and put in the Kanji Water. 

For Dahi Bhalla:

Take same Vada in a bowl put Whisked thick curd on it. Put Mix masala, Khajur Chutney, Green Chutney on it and Garnished with Coriander leaves, Mints leaves and Chaat masala. 

Serve the Testy Kanji Vada  and Dahi Bhalla and Enjoy It.

Ingredients For Making Holi Special Kanji/Dahi Vada Recipe

For Kanji:

  • Water – 1 litre 
  • Black Mustard Seeds – 1TabSp.
  • Red Mustard Seeds – 1/2 TabSp
  • Salt – 1,1/2 Tabsp.
  • Turmeric – 1/2 tabsp
  • Some Red Chilli Powder – Some
  • Curd – 2 Spoon
  • Small Piece of Coal 
  • Asafoetida – 1 pinch
  • Ghee/Mustard oil – 1 Spoon
  • Cumin Powder Some
  • Black Salt – Some
  • Red Chilli Powder – Some
  • Fresh Mint Leaves – Some

For Vada: 

  • Moong Dal – 1/2 Cup
  • Udad Dal  – 1/2 Cup
  • Green Chillies – 2-3
  • Ginger – Small Piece
  • Some Water 
  • Asafoetida (Hing) – 3-4 Pinch
  • Cumin) – Some
  • Salt As Per Taste 
  • Asafoetida (Hing) – 1 Pinch
  • Oil for frying 

For Dahi Bhalle: 

  • Whisked Thick Curd 
  • Mix Masala
  • Sweet Khajur Chutney
  • Green Chutney 
  • For Garnishing 
  • Coriander leaves 
  • Chat masala 
  • Mint leaves

Directions For Making Holi Special Kanji/Dahi Vada Recipe

For Kanji:
