Falahari is a dish made out of deep-fried Mathari (a type of dumpling) which are then dipped in a spicy chutney. Falahari is usually served as an appetizer or main course and can be enjoyed with any kind of drink. The batter for falahari is prepared with simple ingredients. The Mathari is deep-fried until they turn crispy and then dipped in a spicy chutney.

How To Make Crispy Falahari Mathari Recipe

For Falhari Mathari: Take a bowl and put boiled Potato in it then grat it and put Water Chestnut and Pearl Millet Flour in it. Put Salt and Black Pepper in it then put Cumin Seeds and Coriander Leaves in it. Put oil in it and mix it well. Put Crushed Peanut in it and kneed the dough then put Oil and keep it aside. Take the dough and make Mathari then Put Oil on medium flame and fry it.

For Chutney: Put washed Coriander Leaves, Green Chili, Ginger, Cumin Seeds, Salt, Crushed Peanut, Roasted Peanut, Curd in it and grind it.
For Tadka: Put Ghee in a pan then put Cumin Seeds and White Sesame in it then put Dry Whole Red Chili and Curry Leaves now give tadka to the Chutney. Serve the Falhari Mathari, Chutney and Enjoy it.

Ingredients For Making Special Crispy Falahari Mathari Recipe

  • Potato- 2 Boiled
  • Water Chestnut – 1/2 Cup
  • Sama Rice Flour – 1/2 Cup
  • Salt – As per taste
  • Crushed Black Pepper- Some
  • Cumin Seeds- 1/2 Tbsp
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Refined Oil- 2 Tbsp
  • Crushed Peanut
  • Oil – For frying

For Chutney:

  • Coriander Leaves
  • Green Chili – 1
  • Ginger
  • Cumin Seeds- 1 Tbsp
  • Salt
  • Crushed Peanut – 2 Tbsp
  • Roasted Peanut- 2 Tbsp
  • Curd

For Tadka:

  • Ghee – 1/2 Tbsp
  • Cumin Seeds
  • White Sesame
  • Dry Whole Red Chili- 1
  • Curry Leaves
